Most parents start out knowing they will limit how much television is watched by their children, and further more, what shows will be watched. Well, just an FYI, this can be harder to control then you think. They are using remote controls and turning things on before you know it, and the only way to know everything they watch and do is to be with them all the time.
SO, I of course, watch the shows with her. A lot. I've noticed lately that maybe I'm watching just a few too many kinds shows, so here is a list of signs to look out for. Hopefully you will find some of these as amusing as we do :)
- You know the names of not only the shows, but the characters in them
- You sing the theme songs to your favorites during rush hour traffic
- You have a favorite
- Your child pauses the TV so you can see the best parts after you check supper
- You catch yourself watching Jungle Junction even before your kids wake up because, well, they keep talking through it and you miss parts
- You know what channel Disney Jr is but it took 3 tries to find the news today
- You dance or nodd along with the music
- You know where Boots lost his dinosaur but you still can't find your keys
- You don't watch grown up shows anymore because you don't learn anything
- You learned a better way to fold your clothes or put away toys from the mini's between shows
If you notice that too many of these points are true, quick, schedule a babysitter, gather a friend or two, and wat a movie! A grown up movie, one with
