I just don't want to cook tonight. Partly because I'm tired of all the food I have, and I don't feel like going to the grocery store today knowing I will be back on Friday for the weekly shopping trip. So here is my solution, I am going to FIND money around my house and use it to order in.
I honestly don't order in much. Financially and health wise it just doesn't make sense in my house to do so, but every once in a while it's jsut fun. So my solution today for justifying it is that I have a lot to do already, and if I can find the extra money (which should be used for other things) then I can order in. There's only adults in the house tonight so my junk food eating won't affect my daughter and she never has to know...
So here are my personal favorite places to "find" money:
-gather up all the pop bottles and cans and take them to the bottle depot
-check all the pockets in the laundry pile
-look under the seats in the car (added bonus, this makes my car cleaner too)
-check all the pockets of last seasons coats/jackets
-couch cushions
-sweep the landing and under the shoe racks, I don't know how it gets there but it happens
-sweep the floor in the laundry room for anything that escaped the pockets
-look in the bottom of reusable grocery bags
-check where any male in the house throughs his keys/lunch bag at the end of the day
-under the couch

-bottom of the wagon (change from slurpee money goes everywhere!)
-bottom of your child's backpack (pls don't take their money, but change from book orders or fundraisers that YOU paid for are fair game!)
-floor of the shed/garage
-
-check all your empty purses and wallets (my personal favorite! Found a $20 a few times)
Sure this may seem like a lot of work, but look at all the things you cleaned up and put away while you were doing it, so it was really productive, and not really free at all. Plus now you're probably too tired to cook anyway...
