For the month of October I saved approximately $30 combined on my two trips to cash in my coupons. This week I am working on some coupon trades and finding hard to find coupons. I've recruited 2 other people to look for and bring me coupons, which should help a lot, and double the amount I have coming in for either use or trade.
So I decided to pick up a few more items for the house... I found Finish Quantum dishwashing tabls for only $2.88, and used my $2 coupon. I also managed to get a bunch of yogurt for my daughter both on sale and with a coupon! Just a little example of using coupons to eat healthy. Danino drinkable yogurt was on sale for almsot a full $1 off, and I had a few $1 coupons, making it a great deal, and a happy little girl.

Falling asleep last night I got to listen to all the snow ploughs outside my window. Granted, this should have been very annoying, I mean, I was trying to sleep, but they were digging me out and I kenw that with that sound follows the freedom to leave me house again.
I'm not sure how, but my corner always seems to be so full of snow after just a few hours, that it is the only place in my life that I've gotten stuck. Really stuck. Took 3 of us over 30 mins to get me unstuck. If I wasn't cold it would have been kind of funny... This last snow fall wasn't so bad. I shovelled 3 times in 24 hours and it looks like I've not even started, but that's part of where I live. As I'm shovelling I remember all the hurricane victims, I watch news on earthquakes, and I read about tsunamis. Maybe a little snow shovelling and a day or two of staying home until the ploughs get here isn't so bad. I have power, I get sunlight during the day (for a few hours at least) and all the stores are open. So I quite enjoy the sound of snow ploughs. I also like listening to the kids in the neighborhood building snowmen, the silence of the puffy snow flakes falling in my yard, and the crunch of new snow under my feet. I do NOT like the sound of people who insist on screeching around the corners and making them icier for the rest of us. This is not necessary and frankly is annoying. The sound of tires over fresh snow is wonderful though. These sounds mean quiet nights at home, hot chocolate, game nights, snowball fights, and snowman families in the yard. It means more days at home while we wait for the roads to be safe, sleeping in as the sun won't wake up the little people so early, and better sleep with fewer cars driving by. The sounds of winter also point to Rememberance Day, Christmas, a sense of community and family gatherings. What a great time of year! I hope you enjoy the start of the winter sounds. I hope the season brings you relaxation, joy, and some sleep- |
